About Knowledge and Nurture Hub

Hi, I’m Tara Whiteside, founder of Knowledge & Nurture Hub.

I created Knowledge & Nurture Hub from a deep passion for supporting children and young people in ways that are compassionate, practical, and genuinely meaningful. Across my work in education, counselling, and early intervention, I have seen how powerful the right support can be when a child is given the opportunity to feel safe, understood, and capable.

My passion for supporting young people began early. I started swim coaching at 16 years old, where I first discovered how much I loved helping children realise their potential and build confidence in themselves.

My background includes teaching, counselling, and child development, and I hold a Bachelor of Education (Primary), a Master of Education (Allied School Psychology), and a Master of Education (Guidance and Counselling). While working full time as a classroom teacher from 2021, I continued my studies and completed my two master’s degrees. These experiences have shaped the way I work with children and families — combining evidence-based knowledge with warmth, patience, and a strong focus on the individual needs of each child.

Throughout my studies and professional experience, I increasingly saw that more could be done to support families. Many parents want to help their children succeed but are often left without clear guidance or accessible support.

In 2025, I took a leap and created Knowledge & Nurture Hub, something I built entirely on my own and am incredibly proud of today.

At Knowledge & Nurture Hub, I offer support that is personalised, child-centred, and grounded in both educational and emotional development. My work may include helping children build confidence with learning, strengthen literacy and numeracy skills, develop emotional regulation, improve school engagement, and feel more secure within themselves.

I also create parent-friendly resources designed to make child development and learning clearer, more accessible, and less overwhelming. I know that many parents want to help but are often left wondering what is developmentally appropriate, what to look out for, and how best to support their child. My goal is to bridge that gap with practical, realistic, and supportive tools.

Knowledge & Nurture Hub was built on the belief that children thrive when they are both taught well and understood deeply. Learning matters, but so do safety, connection, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. I believe in looking at the whole child and providing support that nurtures both knowledge and growth.
